How to play
- Checkmate the other king to win: attack it so it has no safe square left. Every rule counts, castling, en passant and promotion included.
- 1v1: two players sit at the board and the rest watch, chat and cheer. Each side has a chess clock; run out of time and you lose.
- Teams: each move a different teammate plays. The others draw arrows on the board to suggest moves, and only your team sees them.
- Out of time in teams? The team's favourite suggestion is played, or a random legal move if nobody suggested one.
- Stalemate, threefold repetition, the 50-move rule and too little material are draws. You can also resign or offer a draw.
